Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Fleming Chapel of Broadway Baptist Church. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home. Officiants: Dr. H. Stephen Shoemaker and Dr. James Leo Garrett. Cleda Harrell was born Nov. 9, 1904, in Parsons, Kan. She had been a member of Broadway Baptist Church since 1950, where she taught the Philathe Sunday school class for 40 years and the Mary class for 21/2 years. She was a member of W.M.U. and also served the Southern Baptist Radio and Television Commission. She was a lifelong teacher and began teaching adults when she was 17. She taught Sunday school class in the early days of the Grove Home on Thursdays. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Garrett Harrell. Survivors: Son, retired Army Col. Norris Eugene Harrell and his wife, Jane, of Seattle, Wash.; grandchildren, Barbara Moreno of Rialto, Colo., Air Force Lt. Col. Rebecca Corder of Alex, Va. and Karen Jasper of Seattle, Wash.; great-grandchildren, Kathryn Moreno, Michelle and Jessica Jasper and Emily Corder.
