Ernest [Earnest] Ivan Willey, 49, Farmington, and another driver died in a head on crash of their cars seven miles west of Pagosa Springs, Colo., Sunday.
The state Patrol said the left front tire on Willey's car apparently blew out on a curve causing his car to swerve into the path of an oncoming car driven by William G. Alexander, 31, Durango, Colo.
Both men died at the scene of multiple injuries. A passenger in Willey's car, Florence Paul, Pagosa Springs, was treated for minor cuts.
