Lancaster---James Harrison (Jenk) Davis, 73, a resident of Lancaster and retired farmer, died Tuesday at the Fentress Nursing Hoe in Nicholasville. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Sylvia Parrott Davis, Lancaster; three sons, John Phillip Davis and James Harrison Davis, Jr., both of Lancaster, and Gene Davis, Tucson, Ariz.; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Bain, Oxford, Ohio, Mrs. Speed Ledford and Mrs. Nell Clark, Dayton, Ohio; two grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Ted Nicholas at Ramsey Funeral Home. Burial will be at Paint Lick Cemetery. Bearers will be C. B. Kidd, Clifford Ledford, Loyd Murphy, Hamilton Speaks, John Adkinson and Steve Layton.
Note: James was married before to Marion Kinnard; she died in 1938. The children listed on his obituary are not the children of Sylvia Parrott Davis.
