Fairley, 74, of 888 Eighth avenue, a retired implement dealer, died Monday in a Cedar Rapids hospital. Born Sept. 9, 1896, at Marion, he was a former city councilman, and a member of Trojan Lodge No. 538, A. F. & A. M. Surviving are his wife, Caroline; a daughter, Mrs. Robert A. Lary of DeKalb, Ill.; two sons, Jack S. and Dallas C., both of Marion; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Lea and James, both of Marion. Services: Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Murdoch chapel in Marion, conducted by the Rev. Lloyd C. Kellams. Burial: cedar Memorial park, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call at the chapel after 6 p.m. Tuesday.
