Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles, California, January 16, 1958: Masonic funeral services for Emanuel Richard Northmore, 87, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery chapel under direction of Isbell Mortuary. Entombment will follow. Mr. Northmore, who died Tuesday, lived at 1627 Courtney Ave. He was an electrical engineer for the Los Angeles Gas & Electric Corp. from 1893 until retirement in 1935. He leaves his widow, Bertha; two daughters, Mrs. Emmett Jones and Mrs. Frank Bloom, and two granddaughters.

Northmore, 87, a California resident for 82 years, will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in the Chapel of the Psalms, Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery. Entombment will follow. Mr. Northmore died Tuesday at his home, 1627 Courtney Ave. In 1893 he went to work for the old Los Angeles Gas & Electric Co., as a lamplighter and retired 42 years later. He was a fellow and for two years a vice-president of the American institute of Electrical Engineers, a founder of the Joint Pole Committee and of the Electric Club of Los Angeles, and served two terms as a member of the City Building and Safety Commission. Mr. Northmore was a 33rd Degree Mason, a member of the Royal Order of Jesters and the Jonathan Club. He leaves his widow Bertha and two daughters, Mrs. Emmett Jones and Mrs. Mildred Bloom. He also leaves two granddaughters. Services are under the direction of Isbell Mortuary.
