He was a mechanic for Lonkard Construction Co. He was a member of Beaver Lick Baptist Church, Union, and a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Retha Eades; a son, Ned Eades of Slidell, La.; daughters, Dee Dee Eades and Serena Kain, both of Florence, Shelly Turner of Walton and Retha Turner of Union; a sister, Nancy Clark of Florence; brothers, Walter Eades of Elsmere, Earl Eades of Erlanger, Pete Eades, Gene Eades and Cecil Eades, all of Florence; and 10 grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery, Union. Memorials are suggested to Beaver Lick Baptist Church, 11460 Highway 42, Union, 41091.
