The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, Tennessee, Monday, March 25, 1996: Batesville - Sewell Lavelle Clark, 85, retired from Houlka Glove Co., died of heart failure Saturday at South Panola Community Hosptial. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Wells Funeral Home with burial in Poplar Springs Cemetery in Vardaman. She leaves three daughters, Ruth Reichert and Sandra Harris, both of Shreveport, La., and Diane Clark of Batesville; three sons, A. C. Clark of Nesbit, Dudley Clark of Batesville and Lewis Clark of Holly Springs; three sisters, Louise Burden, Geraldine McGregory and Jewel Gillespie, all of Vardaman, 22 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
