McNeely, 74, of 1825 McCracken, died at 12:10 a.m. Friday in Henrick Memorial Hospital. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Fairmont United Methodist Church with the Rev. J. B. Stewart, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park under direction of Elliott's Funeral Home. Born April 4, 1895, in Milam County, he married Ruby Aycock in Haskell Nov. 6, 1920. They moved to Lamb County in 1924 and to Lamesa in 1938 before coming to Abilene in 1946. A retired farmer and retired employe of Fielder-Dillingham Lumber Co., of Abilene,he was a veteran of World War I, serving in the Medical corps in France. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American legion and Fairmont United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Patton of 2902 Wenwood; three sons, Don of 750 S. Jefferson, Burl of 600 Westwood and Melton of Pasadena, Calif.; one brother, John of Austin; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Bailey of Haskell; one step sister, Mrs. Hillery Stone of Haskell- nine grandchildren.
