Kansas City Star, Kansas City, Missouri, Thursday, September 4, 1924, Page 1, Col. 7: Car Kills A Pedestrian. Roy Wilson, Light Co. Employee, Victim of Matt Pallon's Machine. Roy Wilson, 28 years old, an employe of the Kansas City Power and Light Company, was fatally injured today by a motor car at Twenty-first street and Pennsylvania avenue. The car was driven by Matt Pallon, 1613 Madison street. Wilson died in the receiving ward of the General hospital. Pallon told the police he had stopped to let Wilson cross the street, then started again and the pedestrian walked in front of his car. He said he had been driving less than a month. Pallon was taken to the corner's office, where he was released on $1,000 bond pending an inquest, probably next week. Mr. Wilson lived at 1308 Cliff street. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Dessa Wilson, and four small children, Gladys, Roberta, Kenneth and Kennard, the latter twins. He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Philllip S. Wilson, 2114 Jarboe street; a sister, Miss Beulah May Wilson, 2114 Jarboe street, and a brother, Harold Wilson, 903 West Twenty-ninth street.
