He was a 1972 graduate of Birmingham School of Law with a Juris Doctorate degree and was a member of the Greater Chicago Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #3 in Chicago. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and was Catholic. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen S.; two sons, Bruce P. of Austin, TX, Ward S. of Birmingham; two daughters, Cathleen Yarborough of Gulf Shores, AL and Dora Bower of Birmingham; two brothers, Robert of Overland Park, KS, Richard of Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
