Elmer Benge

Lexington Herald, Lexington, Kentucky, Wednesday, August 5, 1964, Page 12, Cols. 6 & 7: Richmond---Elmer Benge, 60, farmer and landowner of Berea Route 1, died at 11:50 p.m. Monday at the Berea College Hospital after along illness. A native of Madison county, he was a member of the Hayes Fork Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lottie Click Benge; a daughter, Mrs. George W. Brooks, Richmond; three brothers, Sherman Benge, Berea, and Thomas and Robert Benge, Middletown, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Norris and Miss Maude Benge, Dayton, Ohio; three grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Oldham, Roberts and Powell Funeral Home by the Rev. M. L. Hahn and the Rev. Syl Adkins. burial will be in the Madison county Memorial Gardens. Bearers will be Carlyle Moody, John Hord, Virgil McGee, Dewey Powell, T. D. Webb and Bucky Parrish. Honorary bearers will be Marvin Kelly, J. C. parks, Frank Gay, Luther Benton, Gordon Terrill, Dwight Moody, Roy Robinson, Earl Cornelison, Caperton Burnam, Miller Lackey Sr. and Asa Parks. The body is at the funeral home.
