Lexington Herald, Lexington, Kentucky, Thursday, April 30, 1964, Page 12, Col. 4: Miss Geneva Amis, 39, of Buckhorn, died at 9:30 o'clock last night at St. Joseph hospital following a short illness. She was a native of Buckhorn, the daughter of Oscar and Ida Amis and a member of the Buckhorn Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she is survived by four brother, Ralph and Ora Amis, living in Indiana; S.5C. Lewis Amis of Ft. Hood, Tex. and William Amis of Lexington; and one sister, Mrs. Virgie Johnson, of Lexington. The body was taken to Kerr Brothers Funeral Home.

The Rev. Anderson Hamblin and the Rev. Roscoe Niece will officiate. Burial will be in the Buckhorn Cemetery. The body is at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home.
