She married and in 1952 the family moved to Spokane. Ella was a foster grandparent for about 25 years and volunteered at the Spokane Blood Bank for several years. She was a past member of the Eagles, Moose and V.F.W. Ella loved Sunday drives, pets, cards and puzzles and her family and their friends. She lived in Lilac Plaza for 5 years and with her daughter, Alice in Rathdrum for the last 5 years. Ella is survived by son, Patrick Briscoe of Spokane; two daughters Hilma “Alice" Graf of Rathdrum, ID, and Grace May Barker of Spokane, WA: 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ella was preceded in death by three sons, William, Jacob and Michael Briscoe; and two grandsons. Viewing for Ella will be held from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, on Thursday, September 16, 2010, at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home 1306 N. Monroe. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010, at 10:00 am, at the Sunset Chapel, 5200 W. Wellesley. Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe, in charge of arrangements.
