Jacob Kirkpatrick

Jacob Kirkpatrick was born 5 October 1828 in Sangamon County, Illinois. He died on 19 October 1898, Roseville, Warren County, Illinois, and is buried in the Roseville Cemetery. He married 30 December 1858 in Warren County, Illinois, to Huldah Adkisson, who was born circa 21 July 1839 in Illinois, and died 23 June 1922. They were living in Roseville, Warren County, Illinois, in 1873.

On the 1880 U. S. Census of Swan, Warren Co., Illinois Jacob appears with his wife Huldah and children Henry, Willis and Mary. Jacob's occupation is farmer.

At his home in Roseville this morning at 8 o'clock Jacob Kirkpatrick, an old and very highly respected citizen of Warren county, departed this life. Mr. Kirkpatrick was born in Sangamon county, Ill., Oct. 5, 1828, and was 70 years and 14 days old at the time of his death. He moved to this county in an early day and lived on his farm, three miles north of Roseville until about five years ago, when he moved to Roseville, where he has since resided. during the gold excitement of '49 Mr. Kirkpatrick drove overland to that land of promise with an ox team and was gone two years. He was married to Hulda Adkisson Dec. 30, 1858, and she survives him. Three children Henry, Willis and Mrs. Mary Taylor, are also left to mourn his loss. The funeral will occur from the house Friday, Oct. 21, at 11 o'clock a.m. The services will be conducted by Rev. W. H. Witter of Keithsburg. The casket will be opened from 9 to 11 a.m. of that day.
