Waco, Texas, Jan. 4 (AP)---Dr. Owen Carpenter Elliott, 86, for forty years a physician in McLennan County, died here. A native of Cumberland County, Kentucky, Dr. Elliott came to Texas in 1871, and settled near Troy. In his youth he worked in cow camps and on railroad construction crews. He practiced medicine three years in Troy and ten at Prairie Hill before coming to this county. Funeral was held here Friday. Survivors include a son, Dr. Edwin A. Elliott of Fort Worth and a daughter, Mrs. Leta H. Shelton of Daytona Beach, Fla.
