Kearney Hub, Kearney, Nebraska, Thursday, October 11, 2012: Lexington---Virginia Elaine Cumpston, 91, of Lexington died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Plum Creek Care Center in Lexington. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Lexington with the Rev. Tess Hufford officiating. The casket will be closed. Burial will be at Robb Cemetery south of Lexington. Visitation with the family will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. She was born Aug. 30, 1921, at Darr to Hugh and Esther (Mosher) Dodge. On May 29, 1940, she married Francis Cumpston. He preceded her in death. Survivors include her sons, Dennis of Grand Island and Richard of Lexington; brothers, Leroy Dodge of Desert Hot Springs, Calif., Roger Dodge of Penn Valley, Calif.; sister, Marjorie Hatting of Lexington; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
