In 1973 the Obrechts sold the ranch and moved to Bellevue, WA and later settled in Mill Creek, WA. to raise their family. During his time in the Rotary Clubs; the highlight of each year was when Kerry helped put on the annual Air Fair at Paine Field.
After selling the Nursing Home, Kerry and his Dad owned and operated a Holiday Inn in Mobile, AL. That venture led to an interest in real estate and eventually led Kerry to owning his own Property Management company.
In 2005 the family grew with the addition of their daughter-in-law when Randall married Bree. In 2008; Randall and Bree blessed Kerry and Penny with a grandson Charlie! Charlie was the light of his Grandpa's eye and they had a very tight bond. Kerry and Charlie spent many hours playing Superhero's and "fighting crime".
Kerry loved baseball and was a Mariners fan from day one; he enjoyed going to the stadium for games; win or lose. Kerry enjoyed all sorts of music and was a movie buff. He liked going to new restaurants and sharing a good meal with family.
Kerry was a very loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Family was the most important thing to Kerry and it showed in all that he did each and every day. He was a kind and generous person and touched the lives of everyone he met.
