Tampico---Alwilda Christina Jensen, 75, passed away Wednesday at the Morrison Community Hospital following a short illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Schmitt Chapel, Tampico, the Rev. DeVore of Tampico Church of Christ officiating with burial in Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. A memorial has been established for the Church of Christ. Alwilda Jensen was born oct. 1, 1893 in Bureau County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Johnson. She was educated in the Bureau County schools and lived in the Tampico area all her life. She married August A. Jensen on Feb. 2, 1916 in Princeton. She was a member of the Swedish Lutheran Church of Bureau County. She is survived by one son, Gilbert L. Jensen; three daughters, Mrs. Don (Mary) Sutton; Mrs. C. E. (Beva) Johansen of Everett, Wash.; Mrs. Paul (Rita) Leaf of Moline; 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded [in death] by her parents, husband in 1967, one son in infancy; one son, Gene in 1954; 3 brothers and three sisters.
