Smith, 66, 10417 Stephens-Young Road, Camden, died Friday at 6:15 p.m. in Fort Hamilton Hospital where he had been a patient for one day. He had been in failing health for two years. He was born April 28, 1902, in Jackson County, Ky., a son of Billie and Mollie Coulton Smith. He married Cecil Hayes, Oct. 16, 1924 in Hamilton. He was a former employe of the Ford Motor Co., retiring in November, 1946, after 22 years. Following his retirement, he moved to Camden where he farmed. Services Monday. He leaves his wife; a son, William Smith, Camden; two granddaughters, Gini and Kathi Smith, both of Camden; his mother, Mrs. Mollie Spurlock, New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; four sisters, Mrs. Frances Miller, Hamilton, Mrs. Marie Durham, Mrs. Cora Buksar and Mrs. Wheeler (Nan) Jones, all three of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; a brother Charles Smith, Hamilton; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father in 1918.
