Daily American Republic, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Wednesday, October 14, 1987, Page 10, Col. 2: William Artie Bilbrey, 85, of 1607 Seifert Drive died at 9 p.m. Tuesday at Lucy Lee Hospital after being hospitalized for two weeks. He was a retired carpenter. He was born Nov. 18, 1901, in Wayne County and had been a resident of Butler County since 1948. He was of the Methodist faith. On Jan. 21, 1943, he was married to Ruth Irene Todd. Survivors include his wife; two children, Joann Morgan and Carol Luedemann, both of Poplar Bluff; three brothers, Claude Bilbrey of Granite City, Ill., and Henry Bilbrey and Fred Bilbrey, both of Jerseyville, Ill.; one sister, Aileen Eads of Williamsville; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Shelvie Stephens and Cecil Alcorn will officiate. Burial will be in Poplar Bluff City Cemetery. visitation will be after 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.
