The Southern Illinoisan, Thursday, November 19, 1964: CARTER GREGORY DIES; SERVICES SATURDAY. Carter Earl Gregory, 70, of Rt. 1, Mulkeytown, died at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Miner's Hospital, Christopher. He was born March 25, 1894, in Franklin County, son of Frank and Laura Swisher Gregory. He was a member of the Greenwood Methodist Church near Sesser and was a retired coal miner. He leaves his wife the former Lue Kirkpatrick to whom he was married for 47 years, and a brother, Lester Gregory of Rt. 1, Mulkeytown. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Greenwood Methodist Church. Rev. Tom Holloway will officiate assisted by Rev. Raymond Richardson, pastor of the church. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Brayfield Funeral
