Penrod Gibson, 90, of Doniphan, died at 7 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2002, at St. Anthony's Hospice House in St. Louis. She was born Nov. 11, 1911, in Kine [Kime], Mo., to Thomas W. and Zenobia M. Kirkpatrick Jackson. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Jackie Felts of Poplar Bluff; two sons, Howard Penrod of Stockbridge, Mich., and Ken and Dina Penrod of Arnold, and one daughter-in-law, Carol Penrod of Romulus, Mich.; two stepsons, Ordel and Doris Gibson of Doniphan, Ordway and Mary Gibson of Gordonville; and one step daughter Hester and Waif Griffin of Doniphan. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Jasper Penrod and Chester Gibson; one son, Ron Penrod; one grandson, Ronnie Felts; seven sisters and four brothers. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday with a funeral service at 2 p.m. Monday at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan with the Rev. Jonny White officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anthony's Hospice House, 10016 Kennerly Rd., St. Louis, Mo., 63128-9915.
