Harry Edward St. Clair

Bloomington World Telephone, Bloomington, Indiana, February 2, 1944: Harry St. Clair Drops Dead. Word was received here this morning of the death of Harry St. Clair, age 64, former resident of Bloomington. He dropped dead in Indianapolis Tuesday morning, where he has lived for a number of years. Mr. St. Clair was a native of Bloomington, the son of Mount St. Clair. He was the brother of Charles St. Clair and Homer St. Clair of this city, who have gone to Indianapolis to make arrangements for the funeral. He was a charter member of the College City Aerie of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Indianapolis and a member of the St. Charles Catholic church here. Surviving besides the two brothers is a daughter of Indianapolis. The body will be taken to Marshall, Illinois, for burial.

The Indianapolis Star, Indianapolis, Indiana, Thursday, February 3, 1944, Page 14: Funeral services for Harry Edwards St. Clair, 63 years old, who died Tuesday in his home, 43 North Sheffield avenue, will be tomorrow in Marshall, Ill. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery there. born in Bloomington, Mr. St. Clair came to Indianapolis 32 years ago and had been employed at the Saratoga tavern since 1928. He had been ill a brief time. Mr. St. Clair was a charter member of Eagles Lodge No. 1085 at Bloomington and also was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 17 and St. John's Catholic Church here. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Walter Harwood of Indianapolis; two brothers, Charles St. Clair and Homer St. Clair, both of Bloomington, and two grandchildren.
