(7 Sep 1961 - 7 Oct 2011)
Star-Herald, Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Friday, October 14, 2011: Torrington, Wyo. - Frances "Francy" M. Allen, 50, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 at Torrington Community Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at the Lincoln Center in Torrington, located on the corner of East D and 23rd Avenue. The family would like to invite the public to wear pink in honor of Francy. There will be a private family burial at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family to help with medical expenses. Colyer Funeral Home assisted the family with cremation arrangements. Francy was born Sept. 7, 1961, in LaJunta, Colo., the daughter of Everett Ray and Anna Esther (Brady) Clason. She lived in LaJunta until she was three years old. The family then resided in the Laramie/Cheyenne area. In Cheyenne, she met and fell in love with Craig Allen. The couple was married March 21, 1981. The couple did a lot of traveling doing rodeo photography. After having their daughter, Hannah, the family moved to Torrington because they wanted her to grow up and have all the benefits of a small town life. Francy was always out to support her family and friends. People didn't even have to ask, she would just be there ready and willing to help. She will be remembered always for being such a people person. After being diagnosed with cancer in 2003, she still took the time to help with so many community projects and fundraisers. Francy was especially involved with organizations such as Goshen Rooster Boosters, Trap Club, Relay For Life, and all of the High School dance and cheerleading events. Francy was a "fireball" and was always there to support her children and grandchildren. Francy never stopped fighting! The quote that she lived by was "Let Go And Let God." She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, served a year as President of Junior Extension Homemakers, was involved with Goshen County Homemakers Council and a 4H leader for Dogs Unlimited. Survivors include her husband Craig Allen of Torrington; daughter, Hannah and Josh Haffner and their children Andrew and Jeramiah of Torrington; daughter, Corrie and Gabe Gamel and their children Michael and Dylan of Torrington; brother, Dennis Clason of Crook, Colo.; brother, Steve Clason of Cheyenne; sister, Cindy Wilson of LaGrange; mother-in-law, Betty Allen; special friends, Jason and Stephanie Norris and their children Landon, Jackson and Ryley; many great and great-great nieces and nephews; and her miniature schnauzer "Buddy." Preceding Francy in death were her parents; sister, Judy Vitale; special friend, Kathy Boheler; brother-in-law, Wes Wilson and her special Aunt Edith.
