Charleston---Eura Joseph Bush, 72, died yesterday from injuries suffered when his car struck a telephone pole near Highway 60 in Charleston. He was taken to the Delta Community Hospital in Sikeston but was dead on arrival. He was born Aug. 24, 1890, in Scott County and had lived in Scott and Mississippi counties all his life. At the time of his death he resided in Diehlstadt. He was a retired farmer and had driven a school bus for the school district. He was a member of the Baptist Church in Diehlstadt.
Mr. Bush is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dora Bush of the home; two sons, Joseph Lee of Mountain View [only one son listed]; one half-brothers, Frank Bush of Whitewater; one half-sister, Mrs. Bertie Gray of Florissant; and five grandchildren. The boy is now at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Charleston where friends may call. Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Nunnelee Chapel with the Rev. A. B. Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial park cemetery in Sikeston.
