Services were held here Monday for Lowell Pierce, 42, who was found dead Thursday in his room in a Seattle Hotel. He was the son of Mrs. E. C. Reid, Pomeroy. He was born in Pomeroy, April 11, 1914, and lived here most of his life. For the past several years he has been working in the fruit harvest in the Yakima Valley in the summer, and spending the winter in Seattle.

Surviving, besides his mother at Pomeroy, are: a sister, Mrs. Charles Bowne; and two brothers, Harry of Pomeroy, and Glen of Clarkston. Rev. Ray Renzema of the Christian Church conducted the services with interment in the Pomeroy cemetery. Pallbearers were Orville Hickam, Francis Manning, Lenn Dompiev, Edward Frankele, Gilbert Dickson and ray Munns.
