Charles Edgar Powell

Funeral services for Charles Edgar Powell, 56, were to be held at 2 p.m. today at the Shannon Funeral Chapel in Fort Worth. Powell died Friday in a Dallas hospital. He was a building material salesman. Powell had been ill since 1942. He resided at 514 South Lake in Fort Worth. He was born in Lewisville, Tex. and was a former resident of Denton. He was a World War I veteran, a member of the Elks Lodge, Mosiah Temple Shrine Drum and Bugle Corps, and at present was worthy patron of the Tarrant County chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. The Rev. Douglas Kelly was to officiate at the services. Survivors include his wife of Fort Worth and a sister, Mrs. J. D. Gentry of Denton.

Charles has markers in two cemeteries. At Greenwood Memorial Park is a two-tone blue stone marker.
The other is a stone marker which looks like a government issued military marker. Charles' wife is buried at Greenwood.
