Lorene J. Aycock, 74, died Tuesday, December 25, 2006, at Rankin Medical Center in Brandon. Visitation is after 12 noon at Lakewood South Funeral Home in Jackson. Services are 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park South.
Mrs. Aycock, a homemaker, loved to quilt. She especially loved to work in her garden. Her family was her life. She will be remembered as a great mom and nanny.
Mrs. Aycock was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Aycock, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Harold E. Aycock, Jr. and wife, Mary, and Doug E. Aycock and wife, Christine; daughters, Lucy Aycock and LaDonna Dunn and husband, Horace, all of Brandon; brothers, William Connor and wife, Jackie of Prentiss and Norris Brasfield and wife, Shelby of Sulligant, Ala.; sister, June Simmons and husband, Robert of Brandon; and seven grandchildren.
