Funeral services were conducted from the Norman Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock for Thomas Green Bray, 63, a retired farmer, who died Friday, May 15, at 10:30 am, at Macon, Miss. The Rev. J F Hartley and the Rev. J Henry officiated. Interment was in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery with Norman Funeral Home in charge. The deceased, who had lived in Chickasaw county all of his life, was a veteran of World War I. Death was attributed to a heart ailment. He was a Baptist. Mr. Bray and his family moved to Houston several years ago from Houlka. Born March 8, 1896, he was the son of David Green Bray and Emma Kirby Bray. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Bray of Houston; five daughters, Mrs. Shelton Criddle and Miss Jeanette Bray of Houston, Mrs. Evelyn Brand and Mrs. Mary Lee Brown of Memphis; Mrs. Frank Dulaney of London, England; three sons, James Robert Bray of Memphis, William Rad Bray of Macon, Miss., and Donald Bray of Houston; five sisters, Mrs. Chester Helms of Houston, Mrs. H L Burgess of Houlka; Mrs. Raymond Russell of Pittsboro, Miss., Mrs. John Vance of Batesville, Miss., and Mrs. Elizabeth Belote of Memphis; a brother, Frank Bray of Vardaman, and 14 grandchildren.
