The Belleville News-Democrat, Belleville, Illinois, Tuesday, November 9, 2004, Page 4 B: Idell Tidwell, nee Bennett, 89, of Fairview Heights, Ill., born July 6, 1915, in Greenville, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, at Caseyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Caseyville, Ill. Mrs. Tidwell was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lavelle John Tidwell, whom she married March 8, 1947, in St. Louis, Mo., and who died Dec. 9, 1972; a son, Jackie Lee Tidwell, who died in 1989; two brothers, Ivan and Ira Bennett; and two sisters, Imogean Barker and Inez Bennett. Surviving are a daughter, Linda Gall of Fairview Heights, Ill.; three sisters, Irma Clark of Greenville, Mo., Irene Ellis of Fredericktown, Mo., and Iva Bangert of Jackson, Mo.; five grandchildren, James and John Gall, Kelly (Craig) Herling, Kristy (Shane) Whitmire and Kerry (friend Shane Schwab) Tidwell; and four great-grandchildren, Dylan Terrell, Jameshia Cotton, Loyla Schwab and Madelyn Herling. Funeral: Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville, Mo., with the Rev. Mark McMullin officiating, and a eulogy and poem by Julie Vaneuren. Burial was in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Hiram, Mo. Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville, Mo.
