Posted at findagrave.com: Kevin LeRoy Keezer, 43 years of age, of Holdrege, NE., passed away on Monday, July 2, 2012 at Holdrege, NE. Kevin was born October 8, 1968 at Holdrege, NE., the eldest of three children born to LeRoy and Jean (Christensen) Keezer. Kevin was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Holdrege, NE. and received his education from Holdrege (NE.) Public Schools. Kevin experienced a traumatic brain injury in 1984 at the age of 15. Kevin handled the resulting disabilities with amazing faith and courage. He made friends easily and wherever he went Kevin touched the lives of all of those around him. Kevin particularly enjoyed the Mosaic community that he was part of and loved the friendship bonds formed throughout the years. A highlight of his life was a California vacation made possible by the Mosaic program. Kevin enjoyed Cornhusker Football, Country Music, watching Wrestling, Bowling, and the time spent with his roommate, Scott Wells. Kevin enjoyed strong relationships in two faith communities: the First Baptist Church in Holdrege, NE. and the United Methodist Church in Huntley, NE. Kevin was preceded in death by: father, LeRoy Keezer in 1984; grandparents: Raymond and LaVerne Christensen, Jess and Evelyn Keezer, and Myrtle Clayton and uncle, Earl Christensen. Kevin leaves to mourn his passing: mother, Jean Clayton and step-father, Jim Clayton of Holdrege, NE.; brothers: Jason Keezer and his wife, Vicky of Loomis, NE. and Darin Keezer and his wife, Angie of LaVeen, AZ. and their daughter, Hailey; step-brothers: Toby Clayton and his wife, Dawn of Holdrege, NE., Jay Clayton and his wife, Angie of Dallas, TX.; step-sisters: Shawna Nelson and her husband, Clark of Funk, NE, and Sharla Yates and her husband, Michael of Lincoln, NE. and a host of relatives and friends. Interment was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Beaver City, NE. Published in Kearney Hub on July 4, 2012.
