Manly, 60, resident of the Minerva Community died at the Veterans Hospital at McKinney early Sunday morning. Mr. Manly, a veteran of World War I, was a former newsstand operator in Fort worth but had moved to Minerva some time last year on account of ill health. He was taken to McKinney on Friday, March 16 when his condition became serious. He had been in ill health for a number of years. Mr. Manly was a member of the Christian Church and the Julian Field Lodge of Fort Worth. He was active in both church and civic work in that city. Among his survivors are his widow, Mrs. Lula Manly of Cameron, one brother, J. P. Manly of Post, three sisters, Mrs. C. Daughtery, Mrs. H. J. Weathers of Leila, Texas and Mrs. Allen Bryan of Clarendon. Funeral services were to be held in Fort Worth at the Harris Funeral Home, sometime Tuesday with interment in the Laureland Cemetery in Fort Worth.
