Savoy (spl)---Zora Dee Carson, 70, died in a Denison hospital at 6:30 p.m. Friday July 7, 1967, of chest injuries received in a one-car accident Wednesday. Funeral arrangements are not complete but the services will be held Monday at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the Wise Funeral home with interment in the Carson Cemetery north of Ector. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Carson was injured when the car he was driving slammed into an embankment at a dead end road, northeast of Bells. His injuries were not believed serious at that time, but he was taken to a Denison hospital and had remained there for observation and treatment. He was born June 22, 1897, at Cooper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Carson. He was a retired lumber yard employee. Survivors are his stepmother, Mrs. Pearl Carson of Seagoville; his widow, Mrs. Rossie Carson of the home at Savoy; two sons, W. D. Carson of Richardson and Archie Ralph Carson of Savoy; a daughter, Mrs. Margie B. Thornton of San Diego, Calif.; three half brothers, Leroy Carson of Alamogodo, N. M.; Harold Loyd Carson of Dallas, and Billy Jack Carson of Canton; a half sister Mrs. Francis Cubley of Seagoville and three grandchildren.
