Johnson, 62, who died Sunday at a Sherman hospital were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mullican-Little Funeral Home in Savoy, conducted by Rev. Wayne Johnson, Church of Christ minister from Savoy and Rev. Lloyd Butts, Church of Christ minister from Howe. Burial was in the Carson Cemetery in Ector under the direction of the funeral home. Johnson was born August 12, 1916 in Fannin County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Johnson. He married Miss Marie Bellows June 7, 1941 at Ector. He was a member of the Ector Church of Christ. Johnson was a heavy equipment operator working 32 years for the Texas Highway Dept. before his retirement in 1978. He had lived in Fannin County all of his life. Survivors include his wife, Marie of the home; a son, Jimmy Boyd Johnson of Ector, a daughter, Mrs. Patterson of Sherman, a sister, Mrs. Jewell Bohher of Dallas; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
