Posted at findagrave.com: Houlka---James McCammon, 73, died Friday, June 24, 2011, at his home. He was born June 8, 1938, in Calhoun County to Jesse and Mary Jane McCammon. He was retired from Franklin Corporation of Houston, and he was a member of Schooner Valley Baptist Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 27 at Schooner Valley Baptist Church in Houlka with Bro. Linn Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Southern Funeral Chapel of Houston is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn of Houlka; four sisters, Catherine McCammon of Houston, Darlene Poyner and Johnny of Houston, Betty McDuff and Jerry of Vicksburg and Melissa Bradberry and Mike of Houston; six brothers, Alvis McCammon of Houston, Travis McCammon, Bob and Jeanette McCammon, Lannie McCammon, Danny and Linda McCammon and Jimmy McCammon and Janice, all of Vicksburg; stepdaughters, Lynn Armstrong and Kelly of Johnson City, Tenn. and Jackie Misenhelter and Jerry of Oxford; four grandchildren, Sherry Tallant and Dusty, Jondalyn Chrestman, Larendi Armstrong and Michael Armstrong; and four great-grandchildren, Holly, Eva and Skylar Tallant and Joseph Kent. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia McCammon; and his parents, Jesse and Mary Jane McCammon. Pallbearers will be Danny McCammon, Jerry McDuff, Jake Wilson, David Collums, Jim McCammon and Bob McCammon. Honorary pallbearer will be Chris Reynolds.
