Jan. 15, 2000, at Mercy Hospital from complications of diabetes. He was born in Sylvan, WI on Aug. 1, 1936, the son of Louis and Mildred (Buroker) Clason. He married Judy Hamilton Oct. 7, 1961, in Viola, WI. He was employed by General Motors, Janesville, retiring in 1988, and was a member of UAW Local #95. He was a past member of the Footville Fire Department and coached youth baseball. Woody was an outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and deer hunting and until health no longer allowed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Judy of Footville; his sons, Jody of Footville, Kelly (Judith) of Janesville, Robert (Lisa) of Madison; a daughter, Laurie Petri of Footville; grandchildren: Joshua and Jeremy Brueggeman, Crystal and Casey Brown, Kelsey Clason, Elizabeth Petrie; his sisters: Shirley Ann Keene of Richard Center, Gloria (Joseph) Riegal of Eau Claire, Lois (Richard) Clement of Mukwonago; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wed. Jan. 19, 2000, at the Footville Church of Christ with Paul Roberts officiating. Burial will be Grove Cemetery, Town of Center. Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Newcomer-Silverthorn Funeral Home, Orfordville. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
