A native of Utica, Neb., she lived in Fort Wayne since 1937. She was a registered nurse at Lutheran and St. Joseph hospitals. She retired in 1973 after 30 years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Her husband, George G., died in 1961. Surviving are her sons, Charles W. of Redwood City, Calif., and George G. of Carlotte, N.C.; sisters, Jeanette Bauer of Gilead, Neb., and Irma Zagel of Fort Wayne; a brother, Milton Zagel of Iowa City, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Calling will be 2 to 7 p.m. Monday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens. Preferred memorials are gifts to the church or Lutheran Home.
