Isabelle "Belle" Frances Gardner

August 24, 1953: Mrs. Belle Burge of Farmersville Taken by Death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. tomorrow at the Hadley chapel in Visalia for Mrs. Belle Burge, 60, well known Farmersville woman who died Tuesday in the Visalia hospital. She had been in ill health for some time and had been confined to the hospital. Burial will be in the Visalia cemetery. Mrs. Burge was born in Walla Walla, Washington, and she and her husband were married in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, October 6, 1912. Later they lived in Los Angeles and came to Tulare county in 1931. The couple operated a grocery store in Farmersville for many years. Mrs. Burge was a member of the Foursquare Gospel church of Dinuba. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Burge is survived by a brother, James W. Gardner of Jeffersonville, Ind. She also is survived by several cousins, including Mrs. Bessie Lillie and Mrs. Mamie Baker, both of Yakima, Wash., Louis Silver of Visalia, and Mrs. Ruth Winterring of Chicago.
