John Elmer Anderson

Mr. Anderson was born in Sweden, Aug. 2, 1872, and came to Crawford, Neb., at the age of four. He moved to Jordan in 1912. He married Pearl C. Whitney, Nov. 26, 1917, in Jordan, then ranched a few years, selling out in 1930. He then worked in coal mining, retiring in 1950. Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Elmer Trumbe of Jordan, Mrs. Ray Sweet of Anaconda, Mrs. Harold McCowell of Lost Creek, Mrs. James Brown of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Harold Bluhm of Gaston, Ore., Mrs. Carolyn Rowland of Missoula, and Mrs. John Williams of Yelm, Wash.; and five sons, Louis, Walter, and Tago of Anaconda, and Raymond of Beaverton, Ore. Funeral services in the Presbyterian Church in Jordan. Burial in Pioneer Cemetery, Jordan.
