Susannah Gillham

Susannah Gillham was the eight child of Isaac and Jane (Kirkpatrick) Gillham. She was born about 1797 in Charleston, South Carolina. She was married 16 February 1814 in Madison County, Illinois, to Hardy Willbanks. Willbanks was born about 1780 in one of the Carolinas, his parents are not known to us. He served in the Illinois militia in the War of 1812 and again, later, in the Arkansas militia, according to one authority who says this service is on record at the National Archives. Both Hardy and Susannah are listed in the Claiborne Parish, Louisiana census of 1850.
