Big Sandy and Hawkins Journal, Big Sandy, Texas, Thursday, January 21, 1965, Page 8, Col. 6: Mr. William Clason Dies In Gladewater. Mr. William Grant Clason, 76, died on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at a Gladewater Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Precept, Neb., and was retired as a rancher. He had resided in Big Sandy and in Gladewater for the past four years. Mrs. Elizabeth Clason, his widow, survives. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Irene Kirk of Pringle, S.D.; three brothers, Bert of North Platte, Neb., James of Oregon and Harold Clason of California. Two sisters surviving are Mrs. Van Our [Ourkerk] of California and Mrs. Olive Brown of South Dakota; also three grandchildren. Graveside services were Sunday at 2 p.m. in Gladewater Memorial Park under direction of Malcolm Stone Funeral Home.
