Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier, Waterloo, Iowa, Tuesday, May 1, 2007: Lime Springs - Lester W. Phillips, 93, of Lime Springs, died Saturday, April 28, at the Cresco Care Center, Cresco. He was born May 29, 1913, in Oregon, Ill. He married Velma Lou Hammond on June 25, 1951, in Albert Lea, Minn. Mr. Phillips farmed by Bonair for a number of years, then moved to Lime Springs in 1969 and worked for Larry Tank, John Deere, and Peters Produce. Survivors include: his wife; a daughter, Rose (Bob) Schuldt of Ida Grove; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: a sister and a brother. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church, with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, both in Lime Springs. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Lindstrom Funeral Home, Cresco, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
