A native of Salem, Ore., Mr. Haskell was a retired superintendent for H. E. Buckner Construction Co., of Los Gatos. He leaves his wife, Florence. Funeral arrangements are pending at Davis Memorial Chapel.

A native of Salem, Ore., he was a charter member of Woodland Chapter, Order of Demolay; a member and past master of Los Gatos George E. Tutt Lodge, No. 292, F & AM; past president of Pajaro Valley Shrine club, Past patron of Los Gatos Eastern Star and Watsonville Lily of the Valley Eastern Star; member of Islam Shrine, past Big Sir of Santa Cruz Branch No. 20 and Pajaro Valley Branch No. 85, Sons in Retirement. Mr. Haskell began his career in the construction business in partnership with his father in Woodland. Following World War II, he was active in the construction business in the San Jose-Los Gatos area until he retired.
He was married 56 years to Jacqueline Craig, of Woodland, who died in 1982. He leaves his wife, Florence Casey Haskell of Watsonville; two sons, Richard, of Yuma, Ariz., and Gerald, of Angeles Camp; two daughters, Diane Agnew, of Grass Valley and Joan Bordi, of Woodside; a stepson, Thomas Stark of Barre, Vt.; 16 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. At his request, a formal funeral will not be held. Davis Memorial Chapel is in charge of cremation, which will take place at Soquel Cemetery. Mr. Haskell's ashes will be scattered at sea. The family prefers donations to the Watsonville office of the Mid-Coast Visiting Nurse Association, the Transportation Fund for Crippled and Burned children, Islam Temple, San Francisco; or to Hospice Caring Project of Santa Cruz County.
