Betty Royer

Posted at findagrave.com: Betty R. Stewart, 89, of Spencer, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the Owen Valley Health Campus. She was born in Spencer to Ernest and Gladys (Fox) Royer on April 7, 1923. She was a 1941 graduate of Spencer High School. Betty worked at RCA for 10 years and then was a bookkeeper for the family businesses. Mrs. Stewart was a longtime member of the Spencer Presbyterian Church, Spencer chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa, and a former president and very active member of the Bloomington Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. Betty and Frank were strong supporters of the Indiana Art Community.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by her sister, Amelia (Ted) Hunley of Spencer; nieces and nephews, Jane Mellenthin, Bill Hogan, Richard Hogan, Jim Hogan, Cathy Morley, Pat Andrews, Susan VanBuren, Mary Jane Rice and David Hunley; and many great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Stewart in 2008; and sisters, Mary Ann Hogan and Wilma Skinner.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the Spencer Presbyterian Church on North Main Street. Rev. David Lee and Pastor Diane Wells will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer.
