Individual Details
Campbell Johnston
(6 Feb 1811 - 19 Nov 1898)
Campbell Johnston was a small boy when he was brought into Kentucky. He was riding in a covered wagon and the road was very rough and he was very tired. As they got into Kentucky, his parents said, "Thank God we are in Kentucky." Campbell said "If this is Kentucky, damn Kentucky." His mother gave him the worst spanking that he ever remembered.
