He was a retired manager of Central Power and Light Company for 37 years. After retiring, he was an associate with Isham Real Estate Company. He was a member of the Lion's Club for 34 years holding the offices of Zone Chairman, Deputy District Governor, District Governor, and Director of the Crippled Children's Camp with over 20 years perfect attendance. He was a local Salvation Army representative. He was a member of the Master Planner's of Jim Wells County, the Premont Chamber of Commerce, the Premont United Fund and was a member of the F. F. A. Booster Club. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the First United Methodist Church of Premont with Rev. Dempsey Salter officiating. Burial will follow in the Premont Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, the Crippled Children's Fund, M. D. Anderson hospital or a favorite charity.
