Carbondale Southern Illinoisan, Carbondale, Illinois, Monday, October 4, 1965, Page 14, Col. 6: Alto Pass Woman Dies. Mrs. Ruth June Kirkpatrick, 66, Alto Pass, died Sunday in her home. She had been ill several years. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alto Pass and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was born in Chicago, on July 14, 1899, the daughter of Frederick and Louise Meyers Ruhling. She was married to Robert Kirkpatrick on July 22, 1919 in Crown Point, Ind. She leaves a son, Earl of Alto Pass; daughters, Mrs. Jeanne Hoffman, Benton Harbor, Mich., Mrs. Florence Keller and Mrs. Lucille Childers, both of Cobden; 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and four sisters and five brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church in Alto Pass. Rev. Ral;ph Bowen will officiate. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Walker Funeral Home, in Alto Pass.
