Camp Verde---Theodore "Ted" George Wingfield, 81, a retired deputy sheriff and construction worker, died May 22, 1986, at Pyle Memorial Hospital. Mr. Wingfield was the son of Camp Verde's first pioneer family, and was a lifelong resident of Camp Verde. He worked as a shovel operator for the salt mines in Camp Verde in the 1930's, then was deputy sheriff for many years. He later worked as a heavy equipment operator in construction. Survivors include his wife, Helen; daughters, Mary Miller, Connie O'Daniel and Virginia Lattimore; a sister; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 6 to 7 p.m.today at Hepler Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Arnold St. Services will be at 9 A.m. Sunday at Clear Creek Cemetery.
