I believe Mary Martin's maiden name is actually Carey, not Madison. Hear me out as to why.
Her death certificate does indeed say her parents are Carey Madison and Mary Huss. However, I think it is more likely they are Daniel Madison Carey and Mary Huss. Here's why.
For the two children of Simon Snyder and Mary Martin whose death certificates list their mother's maiden name, they list it as "Mary Jane Carey". There is not a single Madison. In addition, you can see a Mary J Carey born abt 1852 in the 1860 census with her parents listed D.M. and Mary, then again in 1870 parents Daniel and Mary.
If you agree with this line of logic, could you please change her maiden name to Carey? Also this appears to be her father's memorial, 30065507. However, the creator did not list the daughter Mary and I am not sure why. She is clearly in the census, along with William, Harriet, Charles, Sarah and Florence.
