Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Monday, February 13, 1933, Page 3, Col. 8: Salvation Army Officers to Wed. The chief event in Milwaukee Salvation Army circles this week will be a valentine wedding at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Army's downtown hall, 823 N. Fourth St. Two young Salvation Army officers, formerly of Milwaukee and now serving in Illinois cities, will be married by Brigadier William B. Sowers., commander of the Army's Chicago and northern Illinois division.

The bride-to-be is Lieut. Marion Wearing, formerly associated with Milwaukee Army corps No. 1. For some time she has been serving in Chicago. Her husband to be is Capt. Bole Black, who is in charge of Salvation Army work at Waukegan, Ill. All Salvation Army weddings are double ring ceremonies. A feature is a prayer for the success of the marriage offered by the officiating clergyman while both of the young people kneel and face each other.
